The Wine Professional Challenge

The Wine Professional Challenge currently in its sixth year gives sommeliers & wine professionals a chance to compete for the coveted Puddifoot Award.

Entry to the competition is completely FREE with no one formal education style preferred over another, thus ensuring a completely level playing field. The Wine Professional Challenge is only open to competitors currently employed in the wine trade.

The 2011 winner (Jay Whitley of the Hawksworth Restaurant) was presented with the Puddifoot Award by Mr John Puddifoot at the 8th Annual Awards Lunch on Friday, April 1st. Jay will receive a Trade Super Pass to the 2012 Playhouse International Wine Festival.

Full details of the event including competition entry are available on The Art Institute of Vancouver’s website.
